![]() How many diapers and covers do you need? 0 to 6 months 6 months to 1 year 1 to 2 years + Potty Training: Daytime, 3-4 training pants/day, and for overnight, 2 pocket diapers or pocket trainers. Overnight, naptime and extended period Diaper Recommedations: For overnight I recommend using a pocket diaper - especially once your little one starts sleeping 6+ hours. Pocket diapers allow you to adjust how much absorbency you need and the fleece liner keeps your babies skin dry. I would keep at least 3 on hand, one extra for a middle of the night back up and another in case you don't get tot he laundry the next day. Depending on how heavy of a wetter your baby is I would suggest stuffing with 2 Happy Heiny Microterry Inserts, or a prefold diaper and an insert, or a Happy Heiny Hemp Stuffin. *My daughter is a heavy wetter and what works for us is a Happy Heiny Pocket Diaper (I have 4) stuffed with a hemp prefold diaper wrapped around 2 microfiber terry inserts, cotton prefolds work too. This is a bulky diaper - but it keeps her (and her bed) dry! She is now potty training and we have switched to using a Happy Heiny Pocket Stuffed with a Hemp Stuffin with 2 Happy Heiny hemp ovals as it is less bulky but still very absorbant. For naptimes or extended times you can add a microfiber terry insert or extra hemp oval inside a prefold and use a fleece liner to protect against wetness. Our personal favorites and what we used at each stage is below: 0-3 months: 3 dozen unbleached prefolds, infant size. 4 Proraps covers, 6 Snappi Clips. 3 - 15 months: 3 dozen unbleached prefolds (premium size), 2 Proraps covers, 1 Imse Vimse Day Cover (now the organic cotton cover), 1 Imse Vimse Wool Cover, 1 Stacinator Deluxe Fleece cover, 6 pocket diapers (medium), 6 microterry inserts, 6 hemp prefolds, 24 cotton doublers, 24 fleece liners, 24 cloth wipes (I made mine out of old receiving blankets - the Imse Vimse ones are much nicer!). If you need more help figuring out what to use please don't hesitate to call or send an email. We have tried many different combinations and senarios. I am happy to help you put together a diapering system you will be happy with!
