Folding a prefold diaper is easy with some practice. The following photos and descriptions will show you how to do three different folds. At one time or another I have tried them all for different reasons and like them all. Please let me know if you have any questions or if something is not clear.

Front Fold: (Good for front pee-ers)

1.Start with a flat prefold diaper and put one end under your baby's bottom. You want it to come to just below his or her belly botton. Then fold the front down about 2 inches or to whatever size will fit your baby again so that when brought up around your baby it the diaper will sit below the belly button.

2. Next, fold in the front right side to where the thickest part of the diaper starts. Then fold the left side in and tuck into the right side at the front.

3. Bring the front part up between your baby's legs and wrap the wings from the back part around to meet at the front.Fasten with diaper pins or a Snappi Clip.

Back Fold: (Good for keeping newborn poop from escaping up the back)

1. Fold down the back end of a prefold diaper and then put under your baby's bottom.

2. Fold in one side to meet at the thickest part of the diaper. Then fold over the other side.

3. Bring the front up through your baby's legs and thw wings from the back around to the front. Fasten with diaper pins or a Snappi Clip.

Twist Fold: ( Good for babies with bigger thighs)

1. The easiest way to do this one is to lay your diaper out first and twist it around as seen inthe photo and then put your baby down on it. You can do it the other way too of course but I have found it easier to get it twisted without a baby on top of it.

2. Then once your baby is on it bring the front up through the legs and adjust the length by folding down the front if needed. Bring the wings from the back around to the front and fasten with diaper pins or a Snappi Clip.
